¡No me puedo creer que ésta sea mi última semana aquí! El tiempo pasa demasiado rápido… Para mí volver es como una sensación agridulce. No puedo evitar sentirme triste de regresar a España, pero este ha sido el mejor mes de toda mi vida, y no puedo dejar de agredecer a las personas que lo hicieron posible. Una vez más, ¡muchas gracias!
Ahora mismo me siento el chico más afortunado del mundo, y realmente espero que otrxs chicxs puedan disfrutar de la misma experiencia en los próximos años. Me refiero a jóvenes estudiantes que sientan que la vida no les ha tratado bien debido a su orientación sexual o identidad de género.
Voy a echar de menos muchas cosas de Los Angeles cuando vuelva a España, y la parte más dura es decir adiós a los amigos y amigas que he hecho durante mi estancia en esta ciudad. Parece que la gente tenía razón cuando me hablaron sobre los americanos. Son realmente personas acogedoras y amistosas. Ahora puedo confirmarlo al 100%.
Estos días han sido más relajados que las pasadas 3 semanas. Hemos podido recuperar algunas de las clases de inglés americano pendientes. Albert, nuestro profesor, nos quería dar más libertad de elección en relación con las actividades que queríamos hacer. Hemos visitado el bulevar de Hollywood una vez más, y hemos ido a la playa de Santa Monica por última vez.
Por otro lado, hemos visitado lugares interesantes como Runyon Canyon en el barrio de West Hollywood, el Museo de Ronald Reagan y el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MOCA) de Los Angeles. Y gracias a ello estoy ahora más interesado en el arte americano. Por mi parte quería visitar especialmente éste último museo ya que actualmente estoy estudiando un grado artístico en la universidad de mi ciudad, Valencia. ¡Aunque no me importaría mudarme a California para continuar mis estudios!
Ojalá tuviera más tiempo para quedarme pero me voy de esta ciudad con la sensación de haber aprovechado al máximo este mes y esta beca de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Madrid.

I can’t believe this is my last week here! Time passes too fast… For me it’s kind of a bittersweet feeling leaving this place. I can’t help feeling sad about my return but this has been the best month in my life so far and I just can’t stop thanking the people who made all of this possible. Once again, thank you so much guys!
Right now I’m feeling the luckiest boy in the world, and I really wish other people to be able to experience this in the coming years. I’m talking about young students who may feel that life hasn’t treated them well due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
I’m gonna miss a lot of things of Los Angeles when I come back to Spain, and the hardest part of this is saying goodbye to the friends that I’ve made during my stay in this city. It seems that people were right when they told me about Americans. They are truly welcoming and friendly people. Now I can confirm that it is 100% true.
These days have been more relaxing than the past three weeks. We’ve been able to recover some pending classes of American English as well. Albert, our teacher, wanted to give us more freedom of choice in relation to the activities that we wanted to do. We visited Hollywood Boulevard again and we went to beach of Santa Monica for one last time.
On the other hand, we visited some interesting places such as the Runyon Canyon in the neighborhood of West Hollywood, the Museum of Ronald Reagan and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) of Los Angeles. That’s why now I’m becoming even more interested into American art. From my personal view, I really wanted to visit this last museum since I’m currently studying a degree in Arts at the university of my hometown. I wouldn’t mind moving to California in order to continue my studies tough.
I wish I had more time to stay here but I’m leaving this city with the sensation of having made the most of this month and of this grant that the US Embassy of Madrid gave me.
